Anchor Chain

ANR has been awarded another shipment of anchor chain and this time we work for M3nergy Berhad. The cargoes details is as follows:-

7 bundles of 860.962MT studless chain of 625m, 107mm diameter. Cargo has been shipped on board MY Liao Yuan ex Huangpu to Singapore. What make it interesting this time, the anchor chain will be discharge using 300MT floating crane from the ship onto an awaiting barge

Just a small ship 1300DWT carrying this cargo only!

The anchor chain stowed nicely on board the ship, all lifting point has been rounded with a wire sling and position nicely for easier lifting.

New barge 210FT -BS23, with enough deck space not to stack the anchor chain on board for onforwarding to Franklin Offshore

300MT floating crane, could lift 2 bundles at one go, but it is actually faster loading one by one!

All the lifting hook secure for lifting

The anchor chain being lifted by the floating crane

As Jurong Port does not allow us to do double banking, the floating crane has to lift and move with the cargo overhang for discharging onto the barge which is berth in the next berth of the ship.

The anchor chain safely loaded on deck barge at Jurong Port.

The barge arrive and berth next to 250MT floating crane at Franklin Offshore for discharging.

250MT Franklin Offshore floating crane doing his job

The anchor chain safely discharge at Franklin Offshore

Safely unload ontop barge at Franklin Offshore
